No child should be made to feel like their belongings are “rubbish” and caregivers should be able to focus on the emotional needs when a child arrives, rather than having to run around doing last-minute/late-night shopping.
We make up backpacks to be given to children when they are removed from their homes, which include a carry-all bag, toiletries (toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc), and some items that will show them they are loved (books, soft toys, etc).

How to help us
Foster Hope Charitable Trust is an NZ Registered Charity (Charity No.: CC43568). An emailed Donation Receipt will be automatically sent upon receipt of your donation. All monetary donations are tax deductible. All donations are in New Zealand dollars and are GST-exempt.
You can either pay by POLi or credit card (Visa or Mastercard). If you choose to pay by credit card, a 2.5% fee will be added to your total donation (to cover merchant fees). There are no fees if you pay by POLi.
