Northland

Hi, I joined Foster Hope in July 2012 and joined the board as Treasurer the following year. I grew up in the Far North before travelling extensively for 17 years. I met my husband in London and returned to the beautiful Bay of Islands were we are raising our three wonderful children.

As I became increasingly aware of the terrible problems occurring in some of our Northland communities and the poor unfortunate children caught up in these circumstances through no fault of their own I knew I wanted to help. I was drawn to the wonderful work Foster Hope does and the fact that it exists on minimal overheads I knew it was something I really wanted to pursue.

As Paul Spear Shane said “as one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one person”.
