Most children in NZ have plenty of toys so why not suggest to your child that instead of getting presents this year, they could ask their guests to bring a present for a child who doesn’t have anything.
The children attending the party can be told about Foster Hope and what a difference their gifts will make to a child in foster care. The birthday child can then deliver the presents to one of our co-ordinators and find out first-hand about the difference they are making in another child’s life.
Bypass that new pair of shoes this birthday and suggest to family and friends that they donate gifts to children living in care instead. That new pair of shoes could buy presents for underprivileged children all over NZ.
